Our story

Forum definition

The forum was launched in 2017 in Casablanca, with the participation of representatives from six countries in North and West Africa. It is a forum that brings together practitioners of social theatre in the African continent, facilitating communication among them. The forum serves as a space for resource gathering and sharing, a platform for shared learning, and creates a dynamic system that develops artistic practices originating from community environments, in collaboration with stakeholders, to contribute to a more just and equal society.

The forum works on networking programs, capacity building, collaborative production, research, advocacy, and promoting innovation. It explores avenues for shared funding sources.

Every theater is social, but we can say that it is a theater that can measure the concerns and problems of society through participating in the daily lives of citizens and interacting with them.
